Capturing Form is my passion project, a vibrant and diverse creative life drawing community that was founded back in 2015. In 2017, I took the helm, shaping the model that defines Capturing Form’s unique identity and ethos today, which continues to draw artists from all walks of life.

Our environment here is one I have cultivated to be relaxed, friendly, and brimming with a strong sense of community spirit. At Capturing Form, we make sure to recognise and celebrate the efforts of everyone involved, including our talented models.

As a teacher, I bring my skills to the table, challenging and inspiring fellow artists who draw with us. I’m a firm believer in fostering the sharing of ideas and experiences, all while encouraging the development of individual styles over mere technical ability. This approach dismantles the misconception and stigma that one must be a master artist to put pen to paper.

Over the years, some of the themes that I have introduced have become very popular among our members, including captivating subjects like Geisha, Shibari, Egon Schiele, Blade Runner and more.

In addition to leading our life drawing community, I take pride in curating each session to ignite creativity. I set themes that come to life through carefully selected props and lighting, creating an immersive artistic experience for everyone involved.

Photography is another passion of mine, capturing the essence of our artists’ work, as well as producing my own life drawing content.

Beyond our regular sessions, I’ve organised two impactful fundraiser charity events in 2017 and 2018. These events were not just about art; they were a testament to our community’s compassion. All sales proceeds from these events were dedicated to supporting two deserving children’s charities in Southern Vietnam (Christina Noble Children’s Foundation and Loretta), underlining our commitment to giving back and celebrating the power of art to make a positive change.

In February 2023, I made the decision to take a brief hiatus from leading my life drawing classes in order to focus on developing my business. During this period, I entrusted someone else to step into my role and ensure the continued success of Capturing Form. Rest assured, I have every intention of returning to lead our life drawing sessions in the near future, bringing fresh insights and experiences to our community.
